Paul Bickley starts a new series – audaCITY: Living for a place God loves – speaking from Jonah chapter 4.
We can be city-haters, city-avoiders, city-moaners, city-uses, city-survivors, or city-escapers. God wants us to be city-lovers.
The city of Nineveh was evil and corrupt, but God loved it. Like Jonah, we can stand in opposition to our city and speak judgment over it, but his word is a word of love: “should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left”.
